ENGINEERING EAD has been producing MV switchgears for the needs of the Bulgarian market since 2014. In recognition of the experience gained and high quality production, in 2018 ENGINEERING EAD received a license from Schneider Electric for the production of CDS series SM6.

The new generation of SM6 complete distribution system under license from Schneider Electric covers the most important customer requirements for safety, reliability, flexibility and connectivity of devices.

All SM6 MV switchgears modules can be supplied with internal arc protection on 3 or 4 sides A-FL or A-FLR. The protection of the internal arc is 12.5kA, 16kA and 20kA for 1s. The devices are equipped with mechanical and electrical blocking to prevent improper manipulations.


More than 1,500,000 modules of SM6 series have been installed worldwide. The SM6 modules are 100% factory tested, without the need for further on-site testing.


SM6 systems are easily upgraded to meet customer needs and they are suitable for expanding existing installations. The SM6 systems are particularly well designed for integration in indoor, in-house substations. 


The use of intelligent connected components such as SC110 and TH110 provide continuous information on the "health" of electrical installations and optimizes asset management through prevention.
